Settling into to a new province and leaving our family, friends and pretty much everything we know was a huge move we took on last year! We love it here, the people are friendly and the air is cleaner. We have a beautiful view right from our living room and there is NEVER any traffic. The town we live in is small and quiet, which gives us a lot of time to bond as a family right in the comfort of our home. I really do staying at home, but some days I just want to get out and have adult interactions lol Chase hasn’t exactly mastered how to carry a good conversation yet 😛 I have tried to register in prenatal yoga classes but the class always gets cancelled due to the low number of students, all the good parenting workshops and mom groups seemed to be at least an hour drive from where we live. I felt stuck 😦 but I didn’t not want to give up..After much more research I managed to scrounge a resource program for parents in town Allelujah Chase and I just attended our second infant massage workshop/mom group session and I must say what a difference it makes in my week! Even though it’s hard to get out of the house because the roads/weather is terrible this time of year, and being pregnant lugging around a heavy wiggly baby is no walk in the park, I still push to make it to class because it is good for me. For one, it’s an excuse to dress up a bit and make more of an effort like bush my hair and put on a bit of make up! Rekindling my social skills was a bit of a challenge, I never realized how rusty I was hahah I guess that’s what hours of singing nursery rhymes and baby talk will do to you! I am keeping track of what day it is again to make sure I don’t miss a class! And it really is another experience just watching how Chase interacts with others! Being able to talk to other moms who are going through the same stage as me is so relieving. For a while I felt like the only one! So moms, I really encourage you to get out there and meet other moms in your community!
